No need to travel far and wide to experience summer fun!

We’re taking a tour of Hopkins County, and have put together a list of our favorite attractions and experiences.

Follow along as we 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 and embrace our inner tourists!

We are udderly excited about our first stop – the Southwest Dairy Museum

Located at 1210 Houston Street in Sulphur Springs, the Southwest Dairy Museum showcases the importance of the dairy industry’s past, present, and future. The objective of the Museum is to preserve the history of the Southwestern dairy industry for the enjoyment and education of generations to come.

Inside you’ll find antique dairy equipment, various exhibits (including one from Cal C Um, a bike-riding skeleton), and an old-fashioned ice cream shop.

Of course, a trip to the Dairy Museum wouldn’t be complete without a photo-op with local favorites – Buttercup and Creampuff.

In addition to the Southwest Dairy Museum in Sulphur Springs, the Center operates 11 “Mobile Dairy Classrooms” comprised of a truck and trailer which hauls a cow and milking machine, and are used for educational demonstrations in school districts throughout the supporting states.

We enjoyed our field trip and are looking forward to our next 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 adventure!
