Police search for alleged Love’s cigarette thief

UPDATE: While police were initially unable to locate suspects, they later received tips that led to the arrest of two Commerce men, according to a release. Charles Orin Lee Nash, 18, of Commerce, and alleged driver Cass Hunter Sullivan, 22, were both booked in to Hopkins County Jail on charges of felony one aggravated robbery at approximately 8:05 p.m. on Friday. 

Sulphur Springs Police are in search of a person or persons who may have information regarding an alleged robbery of cigarettes from the Love’s Truck Stop this morning, according to a release.

On December 3 at approximately 9:33 a.m., SSPD responded to 1201 S. Hillcrest in reference to an alleged robbery.

Police  learned that the suspect allegedly displayed a black pistol and fled the store with a box of approximately 35 cartons of mixed cigarettes, according to a report.

Police say the suspect is a slender white man in a maroon Chevrolet Colorado. Police stated he was seen wearing a grey hoodie, black pants with red and white stripe, and black and red shoes.

The suspect was the passenger in the vehicle and there are no identifiers for the driver, police stated.
