Obituary For Tommie Sue Brummitt

Funeral service for Tommie Sue Brumitt, age 81, of Emory, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Believers Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Rolen officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 at the Wilson Orwosky chapel. Tommie passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021

Tommie Sue was born December 19, 1939, in Fort Worth, TX to Tom Fletcher and Sue Smith. She married Lloyd Brumitt Sr., in Dallas, TX on October 22, 1955. Tommie Sue worked as an aircraft electrician with Raytheon where she would go on to retire after 16 years. She was also a bus driver, a butcher, welder, a beautiful seamstress, and a wonderful cook. However, her passion was her family and especially the babies. For the last years of her life, she attended Believers Baptist in Emory. When she was not making cakes to help the firefighters with their annual fundraisers, or working on the Rains County Fair Association, she was cooking for her family.

She is survived by her loving family, Son Lloyd “Bubba” Brumit (Vicki), daughter Tammy McAree, Sons Todd Brumit (Becky) and Shane Brumitt (Rodney); Grandkids Brandi, Cody, Bud, Matt, Justin, Derek, Darren, Brian, Tristen, Daphney, Zariah, Jeremiah, and Josie. 17 great-grandkids, and 2 great-great grandkids, and a host of loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband; and brothers Kenneth and Tom Vaught and Jack and Ronnie Fletcher; and sister Kay Fletcher
