Hopkins County Salvation Army hosts ‘Angel Tree’

Have you ever thought about giving to the less fortunate for the holiday season, but aren’t sure where to start? Or do you need help making ends meet on Christmas day? The Hopkins County Salvation Army can help.
Their ‘Angel Tree’ provides local families a way to anonymously register to receive gifts if they can’t afford the holiday season, and gives gift-givers a way to know their cheer goes to locals who will appreciate it.
Registration to receive gifts for the 2021 Angel Tree will be held November 9 at The ROC, 115 Putman Street in Sulphur Springs, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Those who wish to register to receive gifts will need to bring:
- Photo identification card
- Birth certificate for child or children
- If no birth certificate, proof of guardianship is accepted
- Proof of income (last 30 days or last 2 paystubs)
- Proof of Hopkins County residency
For those that wish to gift to families in need, the Angel Tree will be set up later in the month and through the holiday season.
