As of 8 a.m. on September 6, 2021, the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office completed the following: 155 non-emergency calls, 51 calls for service, 20 traffic stops and no inmate transports. They booked in 7 persons and released 3 persons.

  • Justin Lee Smith, 30, of Grand Saline, was booked in on charges of alleged possession of a schedule one controlled substance less than one gram after an arrest at 4:55 p.m. on Sept. 5 at Hwy 11 and FM 1870. Bond was not set.
  • Jason Allen Ashford, 45, of Sulphur Springs, was booked in on charges of alleged driving while intoxicated 3rd offense after an arrest at 2:35 a.m. on Sept. 6 in the 1000 block of North Davis St. Bond was not set.
  • Eden Elizabeth Polley, 28, Dallas, was booked in on a warrant of alleged assault causes family violence after an arrest at 1:16 p.m. at the 118 mile marker of I-30. Bond was not set. 
  • James Alfred Cox Ramey, 53, of Houston, was booked in on a warrant of alleged violation of parole- homicide after an arrest at 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 5. Bond was not set. 
  • William Pierce Ewton, 49, of Sulphur Springs, was booked in on a warrant of theft of property from $30,000 to $150,000 out of Austin. Bond was not set. 
  • Christopher Kirby Keel, 18, of Little Rock, was booked in on charges of alleged possession of marijuana from two to four ounces and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle after an alleged incident at the 110 mile marker of I-30 at 10:38 p.m. on Sept. 5. Bond was not set.  
  • Jalean Crisean Martin, 19, of Little Rock, was booked in on charges of alleged possession of marijuana from two to four ounces and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle after an alleged incident at the 110 mile marker of I-30 at 10:38 p.m. on Sept. 5. Bond was not set.
