SSPD Arrests New York Men After Discovering Over $300,000 in Cash During I-30 Traffic Stop
Sulphur Springs Police Department arrested two New York men on I-30 last night after discovering over $300,000 in cash in their vehicle.

Officers initiated a traffic stop on a Nissan SUV at the 128 mile marker on I-30 WB at 11:23 pm due to a traffic violation. During a probable cause search of the vehicle officers discovered more than $300,000 in US Currency in the vehicle.
The driver, Denis Menjivar Cantarero, and the passenger, Gilberto Rodriguez, were taken into custody and charged with Money Laundering over $300,000. Both men, listed as residents of New York, are currently held at Hopkins County Jail.
