Meet Jennifer Harrington, a Travel Agent with Happily Ever After Travel
  • PublishedMay 16, 2023

Hi travelers!  My name is Jennifer Harrington, and I am a travel agent with Happily Ever After Travel.

I love to travel.  Period.  And equally so, I love helping my clients with THEIR travels.  The magic is in the details and my job is make sure that all those details are taken care of.  I specialize in creating magical vacations to all Disney destinations including Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, cruises onboard Disney Cruise Line, and stays at  Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa in Oahu.

The question I get asked the most is, “Do you only book Disney vacations?”  The short answer is no.

I plan vacations to Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Hollywood, cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and popular destinations like Hawaii, Alaska, international travel, and so much more!

I spend a lot of time traveling because I believe it’s important.  I don’t see travel as a luxury, but more as a way to connect.

Travel is a great way to connect with new people, the culture, and to just take a moment to enjoy life in a new part of the world.  While in destination, I make sure to visit with the locals and learn about their life.

In March, my family and I took a cruise and met a couple of interesting people on the excursions we took.  We chartered a private fishing boat in Mexico and our captain was a retired banker from London. As a self proclaimed London-obesessed individual, I very much enjoyed our 4-hour chat while catching barracuda!

We met another young man that really touched my heart while taking a private tour of Roatan.  Our guide was a young father working three jobs trying to recover his losses after being shut down from the pandemic.  He was such a sweet soul, and a terrific guide with so much knowledge to offer about the island.

The most important connection for me is the one I get to make with my family.

It is chance to put down the phones, forget about our hectic schedules, and have real family time.  The memories and experiences we have been able to take from our travels are priceless.

Time is non-refundable, so spend it wisely! As a travel agent, I want your family to have these memorable experiences too!

So you may wonder… what can a travel agent really offer?

  1. To state the obvious, a travel agent assists clients with their travel arrangements. I offer a personal service that uses my expertise in the travel industry from extensive hours of training, travel, and research.  With this, I take the time to understand my client’s needs and wants. And asking the right questions in order to customize your vacation to one that suits you and your family best.
  2. You are working with me and only me, no call centers!  Many times in my job I am able to fix things that my clients are not even aware are an issue and keep track of all important deadlines necessary to your trip.  By taking out all the guesswork, this allows you sit back stress free and watch your vacation countdown!

There are lots of moving pieces and important deadlines to keep up with when planning a vacation.

Most of you have probably planned or tried to plan some type of vacation, right?  If you were doing it on your own, I’m sure you realized just how much research and time were involved.

Yes, the internet has endless websites and blogs of information, but where do you start?  Is the information accurate or up to date?  What documentation will you need to enter?  Is this destination a good fit for my family?  These are all necessary questions when traveling and exactly the reasons why a travel agent is important.

Travel is complicated and has only gotten more complicated in recent years.  Sure, you could manage on your own just like you could put a “For Sale by Owner” sign in your yard to sell your house on your own.  The issue is how well are you getting the job done versus what a professional could do for you.

Sometimes it’s better to have a trained professional help you get the most for your dollar and protect you from any unforeseen losses.

Like I mentioned, I travel as much as my schedule will allow. This allows me to offer trusted, first hand experience for my clients.  Next up on my travel itinerary is Hawaii!  My family and I will be doing a split island stay on Maui then Oahu.  If you would like to follow along on my trip to islands or any of my future adventures and information, be sure to follow along on Facebook and Instagram!

Are you ready to start your – Once upon a time?
