If you’re anything like us, you think the holidays in Hopkins County are the most wonderful time of the year. Check out these upcoming activities planned for our community! 
 
🎄 Sulphur Springs Animal Shelter Adoption Open House– November 12 at the shelter (1313 Hillcrest Dr N) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
🎄 Hopkins County Turkey Trot– A pre-Thanksgiving tradition! November 24, kids race at 7:30 a.m. and adults race at 8:00 a.m. Downtown Square
🎄 Wreaths Across America– December 17
🎄 Main Street Christmas Market– December 3, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Free entry 
🎄 2nd Annual Chili Cookoff– December 3
🎄 Christmas in Heritage Park– November 26 at 5:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m., December 3 at 5:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. Admission $3, children 7 and under get free admission
🎄 Lions Lighted Christmas Parade- December 2, 7 p.m. 
🎄 Countdown to the Dancing Lights (city tree lighting)- December 2, 5:45 p.m., downtown square before the parade
🎄 CASA Cookie Walk- A local favorite! 9 a.m., First United Methodist Church (go in the double doors of the fellowship building)
🎄 Photos with Santa- (FREE) Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce, December 2, 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. before the parade
🎄 UPRA Rodeo- November 18-19 at the Hopkins County Civic Center, performances at 7:30 p.m. 
🎄 Be The Service- Join the Hopkins County Christian Alliance as they give out 1,000 Thanksgiving meals. November 19 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the SSHS parking lot 
🎄 Christmas at First Baptist Church- The area’s largest Christmas Pageant. December 10 and 11 at 6 p.m., Worship Center at First Baptist Church https://www.loc8nearme.com/texas/sulphur-springs/fbc-sulphur-springs/6964328/
🎄 Northeast Texas Choral Society annual Christmas Concert- 25th annual Christmas Concert, Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2:00 p.m.
🎄 Shannon Square Block Party- November 17, 5 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. 468 Shannon Rd. West. Local vendors market and refreshments
🎄 Blue Santa Toy Drive- the whole month of December, kicking off Nov. 19 at Backstory Brewery, 6:30 p.m. Bring a toy to donate to our local law enforcement which are given to kids in need all over the county!
🎄 Lil 4’s Thanksgiving Dinner– Sunday, November 20 from 1:00pm -until the food is gone. Grays Building, Pacific Park.
