Genealogical library closed due to COVID precautions

The Hopkins County Genealogical Society library will be temporarily closed effective immediately (Monday, August 30 due to precautions against the COVID-19 virus, according to a release from the group. 

“This is a precautionary measure is being taken due to the sudden increase of Covid cases within our community,” the release said. 

The group stated they will notify citizens when the research lab, which is housed in the Sulphur Springs Public Library, is reopened to the public. 

“While shut down, we can answer email queries requiring 15 minutes or less time to research,” the group said.
