A cold front is making its way toward North and Central Texas this morning. Breezy southerly winds will become westerly behind the front. Given the dry air moving in, along with fairly breezy conditions, there will be an elevated fire weather threat this afternoon mainly along and west of US 281. Ahead of the front, a strong to possibly severe storm cannot be ruled out. The main threat will be hail, with the more robust storms capable of large hail.
