Funeral service for Jimmy Don Goldsmith, age 81, of Birthright, TX will be held at 4:00P.M. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Bro. Paul Bailey officiating. Internment will follow at North Hopkins Cemetery with Justin Goldsmith, Jaden Goldsmith, Mike Gibby, Greg Martin, Brad Martin and Mac Conner serving as pallbearers and Emmett McIntosh, Members of Birthright United Methodist Church, Mike Miesse and Members of Hopkins County Farmer Bureau Board, Tommy Long Ken Groves serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00P.M. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel. Mr. Goldsmith passed away on April 4, 2021 at Plano Heart Hospital.

Jimmy Don was born on June 12, 1939 in Birthright, TX to Lawrence L.E. and Bessie (DeBord) Goldsmith. He married Joyce Groves on August 14, 1959 in Birthright. Jimmy was a dairyman for over 40 years. He was a member of the North Hopkins School Board, Hopkins County Farm Bureau Board of Directors for over 40 years. North East Texas Farmers Co-op board, Birthright United Methodist Church and the East District in Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Joyce; daughter, Debbie Goldsmith Davis and husband, Mickey; son Terry Goldsmith and wife, Gina; grandchildren, Amanda Ann Edmonson, Ashely Ann Edmonson, Jamie McIntosh and husband, Chris, Justin Goldsmith and wife, Skylar, Jaden Goldsmith and girlfriend, Morgan; great grandchildren, Emmett McIntosh; sisters Peggy Gibby and husband, Jerry, Nita Kelty and husband, Tim.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.

Donations may be made to Birthright Methodist Church at 1507 Monroe St Commerce, TX 75428.
