SSISD Approves Tax Rate Deduction for 2020

Sulphur Springs ISD lowered its tax rate at a special meeting of the Sulphur Springs ISD school board on Friday, August 28, 2020.

The school board approved levying an annual ad valorem tax of $1.251380 ($0.940900 maintenance & operations and $0.310480 for I&S/debt service), per $100 cash valuation for 2020.
This represents roughly a 3 cent decrease over the previous tax rate.
