Pelvic PT throughout the lifespan

Pelvic PT throughout the lifespan
  • PublishedDecember 22, 2023

Did you know pelvic PT is not just for postpartum or postmenopausal women? One of my favorite things about my specialty is the opportunity to care for patients throughout the lifespan. In addition to treating symptoms associated with the postpartum and peri/post menopause periods, we also see and treat men and children.

We love treating the child not wanting to play at recess/participate in PE/attend sleepovers because of urinary leakage and/or bedwetting.

We love treating the 20 something who is having pain with sitting in class as a student or experiencing pain with intimacy.

We love helping women navigate pregnancy pain free, and setting them up for success with an optimal birth, which should make the postpartum period easier to navigate.

We love helping women return to their desired activities symptom free postpartum, post prolapse surgery, or post hysterectomy.

We love treating the male following postprostatectomy or hemorrhoid repair as well as constipation or pain with intimacy.

We love helping the perimenopausal woman who feels her hormones are going haywire and has no idea what is going on with their body.

And we love providing care for my postmenopausal ladies who are wanting to (and deserve to) live their best lives.

Treating the same person through different phases of life is so fun, and treating family members of different generations is equally as fun. Long story short, pelvic PT is for a lot more than just postpartum rehab.

Pelvic PT isn’t just for pregnancy/postpartum, it’s for everyone trying to live their best life! We would love to help you, your child, or your significant other navigate any of the above pelvic health related concerns.
