Funeral service for Callie Singleton, age 80, formerly of Quinlan, TX will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Cross Country Cowboy Church in Sulphur Springs, TX with Rowdy France and Levi Barcus officiating. Interment will follow at Quinlan IOOF Cemetery with Colt Baxter, Khal France, Chad Jones, Travis Singleton, Layne Singleton, and Kaleb Baxter serving as pallbearers and Eli Russell as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Singleton passed away in Lindale, TX on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

 

Callie Clestia Singleton was born on October 28, 1943 in Vacaville, CA to Lawrence and Evelyn (Smith) Hukill. Callie graduated high school in Quinlan, TX. She went on to cosmetology school and became a Hairdresser where she met many customers over the years that became lifelong friends. She also drove the school bus for Fannindel Independent School District. Callie was a member of the Cross Country Cowboy Church in Sulphur Springs.

 

Callie is survived by her children; daughter, Debbie France and husband Rowdy; son, Buster Singleton and wife Christi; grandchildren, Chad and Maegan Jones, Colt Baxter, Kahl France, Travis and Heather Singleton, Layne and Carley Singleton; great-grandchildren, Kalee France, Dok France, Joplynn Jones, Marshall Jones, McKamie Baxter, Eli Russell, plus another one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Evelyn Hukill; husband, Robert Singleton; two brothers and two sisters.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
