Mid America Pet Food Celebrates Completion of $40 Million Expansion Project

Celebrating the completion of a $40 million expansion project, Mid America Pet Food (MAPF), held a ribbon cutting ceremony today, attended by Mid America Pet Food’s executive team, employees, suppliers and other community members. The new facility spans over 115,000 square feet and includes new office space for corporate employees, an expanded warehouse space allowing for three times more storage, a new extruder and high-speed packaging lines to help increase capacity, and more.

Mid America Pet Food has displayed a strong history of impressive growth since its founding in 2007, including a 30% CAGR for the past seven years. Beginning with VICTOR Super Premium Pet, MAPF has expanded to include Nature’s Logic®, Wayne™ Feeds, and Eagle Mountain Pet Food®.

Manufacturing all of VICTOR, Eagle Mountain and Wayne Feeds kibble out of their East Texas plant, this new facility will allow the company to sustain the growth they have experienced and continue to be a strong partner while delivering for their retailers and distributors. The original MAPF plant will still be utilized, and this new space will allow MAPF to increase capacity and will provide increased warehouse space, about three times larger, to hold finished product.

“Being a strong partner for our distributors and retailers is a key focus of ours,” said Greg Cyr, CEO and President of Mid America Pet Food. “We’ve sustained impressive year over year growth for the past 10 years and this plant expansion and capacity project was an exciting and important next step for us to continue delivering premium nutrition to new and existing consumers across all our brands. Mid America Pet Food is growing quickly, we’ve established ourselves well within the industry and we look forward to the opportunities this new facility will bring.”

MAPF’s campus is on 40 acres in Mount Pleasant, Texas, and the company looks forward to continuing to invest in the local community while being a strong employer in the area.
