Funeral service, age 64 of Yantis, Texas will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Lake Funeral service for Perry Shirley, age 64, of Yantis, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Lake Fork Baptist Church, with Zachary Tunnell and James Sanders officiating. Interment will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on Thursday, February 23, 2023. Phillip Newman, Jerry Denton, Wesley Crist, Isaac Allen, James Sanders and David Shirley will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 18, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Perry passed away on February 14, 2023 at his residence in Yantis.

Perry was born on April 10, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to Clarence Aaron and Lenora (Milner) Shirley. He married Joy Sanders on June 10, 1977. Perry was a 20 year veteran of the United States Navy. He also worked as a mechanic supervisor for DART. Perry raised Angus cattle and was a member of the Lake Fork Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joy; daughter, Carrie Shirley; son, David Shirley and wife, Karlee; granddaughter, Cora Shirley and sister, Rene Hillgartner.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents.
