Graveside service for Travis L. Cook, age 81 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Greenpond Cemetery with BJ Teer officiating. Pallbearers will be Tony Cook, Lance Cook, Butch Burney, Aaron Dodd, Jonathan Cook, Ty Brown and Michael Boles and Kade Wimberley and Chris Hart as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Cook passed away on February 13, 2023 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home.

Travis was born on August 9, 1941 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Ogal Mack and Rudine (Stinson) Cook. He attended Como High School where he was valedictorian class of 1959. Travis attended East Texas State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Travis worked as an accountant at Rockwell Intl and Flowserve. He was a member of the Pickton Masonic Lodge and a member of the Greenpond Baptist Church, where he served on various committees.

He is survived by his daughter Karen Burney and husband, Butch of Sulphur Springs; sons, Tony Cook and wife, Susan of Sulphur Springs, Lance Cook and wife, Kristy, of Frisco; grandchildren, Brandi Boles, Aaron Dodd, Alyssa Wimberley, Bradyn Hart, Courtney Brown, Jonathan Cook, Hanna-Mary Cook, Lucy Cook and Molly Cook; great grandchildren, Amerson Boles, Avalyn Boles, Casen Dodd, Aizley Dodd, Waverly Brown, Madden Brown and Carter Gandy.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister.

Arrangements under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
