No need to travel far and wide to experience summer fun!

We’re taking a tour of Hopkins County, and have put together a list of our favorite attractions and experiences.

Follow along as we ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐‹๐จ๐œ๐š๐ฅ and embrace our inner tourists!

Just a short drive outside of the county sits the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum, in Commerce, Texas. The Northeast Texas Childrenโ€™s Museum opened its doors in 2002 and moved to its current building (with seven acres) in 2019. Its mission is to inspire imagination, enhance creativity, and build confidence in children.

With help from generous contributions from families, companies, and individuals, they are able to increase our programming, enhance our exhibit areas, and introduce new workshops and performers. The Northeast Texas Childrenโ€™s Museum provides opportunities for a playful and creative learning experience.

There’s a variety of exhibits, sponsored by local businesses, aimed to encourage creativity and imagination. The interactive bubble room was one of our favorites!

The Dino Diner inside the Museum is available for use and the Great Outdoor Discovery Area has picnic tables that can be used as an eating area, so feel free to pack a lunch! General admission is $7 for both children and adults and children under 2 are free.

This summer the museum has a variety of activities happening that are perfect for the whole family!

Find a list of their scheduled events below or visit www.netxcm.com to plan your visit.
