Miller Grove to advance to state with robotics competition

Of Miller Grove ISD’s six robotics teams this year, five teams are headed to the Region 2 State tournament.

Two High School teams (2750Z – Alessandro Alvarez and 2750X – George Back) will compete on Friday, March 4 and Saturday March 5th in Granbury.
Three Junior High teams (2750A – Jase Back, Juan Ramirez, and Cannon Ramsey , 2750B- Yahir Santana and Sebastian Tovar, and 2570C – Colleen Alberts, Mary Carter, and Lile Neidhart) will compete in Granbury on Friday, March 11 and Saturday. March 12.
Other Miller Grove Grae Grinder Robotics students are: Conrad Curling, Scott Major, Blanca Culbertson, Hannah Nalls, and Aiden Yudell.
“We are very proud of these students and the hard work that they have put in and continue to put in on their Robots, Engineering notebooks and preparations for interviews and work with other teams,” said coach Laura Smith.
Miller Grove ISD has hosted seven competitions this season.
“Each of these students has worked hard to set up for them, make sure that they run smooth and helped clean up after the competition,” Smith said. “These students are developing great work ethics and fantastic life skills through the VEX program.
