First annual Spot Dash 5k to debut this weekend

For the first time, local business The Spot will host a 5k ‘dash’ as a benefit for the Olvera family. 

The race will take place on December 11 at 9 a.m. beginning at Coleman Park. 

“Walk or run in this chip timed event and enjoy a beautiful course with a lakefront setting starting at Imagination Mountain,” event organizers urge. 

All who register will be provided with a race day t-shirt. All proceeds from the race benefit Saltillo’s Olvera family, who were involved in a vehicle crash in September that took the life of their 11-year-old son, Chitto, and injured their daughter.
