4-H Project Show Results

Every year during National 4-H Week, Hopkins County 4-H members have the opportunity to enter items in the 4-H Project Show.  This serves as an avenue to showcase talents of our 4-H youth.  Even though entries were down, 22 quality items were entered in this year’s Project Show.  Here are the results:

Intermediates (grades 6-8):

Congratulations to each of these young people.  If you missed seeing their entries at the Extension Office, many of them will be entered in the Hopkins County Fall Festival Creative Arts Contest!  By the way, any Hopkins County resident is welcome to enter the Creative Arts Contest, so contact the Extension Office for details.

Annual Christmas Joys program

We are on track for a great holiday program, featuring recipes, craft and sewing demonstrations, decorating ideas and more!  This event is scheduled for Monday, November 8, at the Southwest Dairy Museum.  We will offer two sessions to accommodate schedules of attendees, so choose the time that works best for you: 1:30 p.m., repeated at 5:30.  Both session will cover the exact same information, and door prizes will be awarded throughout the programs.  Attendees will receive a goodie bag and booklet of all the ideas presented.  The Dairy Museum staff will provide samples of cheeses and dip mixes – a highlight of the program!  Seating is limited to the first 75.  We must have a name and phone number for each seat reserved.  Please call 903-885-3443 to reserve a seat.
