Hopkins-Rains Hay Show upcoming
  • PublishedOctober 12, 2021

The Hopkins-Rains Hay Show is soon on the way for those in the two counties who want to learn more about the quality of their hay.

The deadline to enter hay was October 11 at the Northeast Texas Farmers’ Co-Op.

Hay judging will take place on October 21 starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center. A barbecue lunch will be served.

The purpose of the hay show is to support young adults in Hopkins and Rains Counties who wish to further their education in agriculture. Produced by the Soil and Water Conservation District, the show helps fund two scholarships for local agricultural sciences students entering college.

For more information about the show, the scholarships or other questions, contact the Conservation District at 903-885-4433, Ext. 3.
