Graveside service for Renne Robbins McDougald, age 67, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 2:00P.M. on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Liberty Cemetery with Tim Robbins officiating. Renee passed from this world on March 13, 2021 at her home in Sulphur Springs. She will be missed.

Renee was born on November 17, 1953 in Baytown, Texas to Ernie & Alpha Robbins.  She grew up in Baytown.  She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and the nursing program at Lee Junior College.  She worked as a nurse and Marketing Director in long term care for over forty years. She was very dedicated to the elderly patients with whom she worked.  She was known to take her own clothes from her closet and give them to the nursing home residents that needed new clothes.  Renee would put residents of the nursing home in her own car and take them on outings, even to see BB King at the casino.  She loved her residents and was a caring, calming presence in many lives.

Renee never met a stranger.  She was talkative, funny and outgoing. Even though her personality was bigger than life, she also enjoyed quiet time at home and loved to read. She loved to read comedy, mystery books and could be found in her recliner with her beloved Nook, reading and laughing.  She loved to talk about her books and explain what she was reading to anyone who would listen.

Renee was an excellent cook.  She loved cookbooks. She loved to buy cookbooks when she was on vacation and try recipes from her travels.  After she retired, she spent a lot of time in the kitchen, cooking for her family.

Renee is survived by the love of her life, Sarah McDougald, with whom she shared a life for 26 years.  She is also survived by one son, Trinity Stephen, brothers Tim Robbins and Kevin Robbins and nephews Clay Robbins, Dennis Robbins and Eric Robbins, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as multitudes of beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
