The City of Sulphur Springs will be shutting off the water supply to North Hopkins Water Supply Corporation again at 9 pm on Sunday night.

“Water service will be restored for two hours each morning from 5:30 am to 7:30 am until such time as North Hopkins produces a plausible plan for locating the leak(s).”, according to Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell.

Maxwell said, “North Hopkins Water Supply Corporation still hasn’t found their leak(s) and they have no plan to do so.”

Some residents of Dike have reportedly not had running water at their homes since February 15th. A boil water notice was issued by NHWSC on Friday.

NHWSC said on Saturday night that demand was outweighing supply and that their output was 250% of normal usage. They said their tank was empty so they were bypassing the tower and serving straight from Sulphur Springs’ supply. They said the lack of pressure was causing some houses at a higher elevation to receive water.
