The 2020 NorthEast Texas Livestock Association Junior Market Livestock Show started yesterday with the Lamb and Goat Shows. Members of Sulphur Springs FFA, Hopkins County 4H, and Sulphur Bluff FFA took home top honors.
Annie Horton of Sulphur Springs FFA was named Grand Champion of the Lamb Show. Ryan Ragan was Reserve Champion. Horton was also awarded Senior Showmanship, Como-Pickton FFA’s Brody Busby received the Intermediate Showmanship award, and Ramsey Ragan was awarded the Junior Showmanship award.
Parris Pickett of Sulphur Springs FFA was named Grand Champion of the Goat Show. Kaitlynn Harness of Sulphur Bluff FFA was Reserve Champion. Jessica Hatley of North Hopkins FFA awarded Senior Showmanship, Isaac Taylor of Cumby FFA received the Intermediate Showmanship award, and Braxton Purser of Miller Grove was awarded the Junior Showmanship award.
The NETLA Junior Market Livestock Show continues today with the Broiler, Swine, Steer and Heifer shows. The Sale of Champions begins on Saturday at 1 pm. The Ag Workers Stew and Chili will be served before the sale at noon.
