Family Dollar in Sulphur Springs Will Become a Dollar Tree Store

Employees at Family Dollar on Gilmer Street in Sulphur Springs told us yesterday that the location will become Dollar Tree. They don’t know an exact date for the transition but told us that, “It won’t be long.”
Dollar Tree, Inc. acquired most of Family Dollar’s stores in 2015. Dollar Tree said in a recent shareholder report that it plans to re-brand 200 Family Dollar stores across the country. Dollar Tree Stores is an American chain of discount variety stores that sells items for $1 or less.
