Sulphur Springs Boys Basketball defeated Lindale 58-41. Cameron Kahn led the team with 22 points.
Sulphur Springs Girls Basketball defeated Lindale 62-21. Sadavia Porter led the team with 19 points and Autumn Tanton added 13 points.
Saltillo Boys Basketball won against Avinger 57-50 in overtime. Chris Boekherst led the team with 21 points.
#23 Saltillo Girls Basketball defeated Avinger 71-26. Anna Reeder led the team with 16 points.
Sulphur Bluff Boys Basketball beat Bloomburg 59-40. Trayton South led with 30 points.
Sulphur Bluff Girls Basketball beat Bloomburg 49-39. Katlyn Rochelle led with 16 points.
Como-Pickton Boys Basketball lost to Campbell 43-34.
Como-Pickton Girls Basketball defeated Campbell 35-32. Lexi Busby led scorers with 17 points. Coach Brandi Crouch told us, “””My girls came out and played with nothing but heart Friday night. Our community came and packed the gym for Jam the Gym and it was an exciting atmosphere to play in. I had told my kids all week long that teams are going to take us for granted because of how we’ve played before against them. I told them that we were very capable of beating Campbell, we just had to put the full 4 quarters together. And finally, WE DID! It was good for my kids to beat the #2 team in our District. I finally saw the excitement of what they had actually accomplished. We still have important games ahead of us but we are going to use this to light fuel to the fire to finish this season strong!”
