Did you know: DPS has a Stranded Motorist Hotline to help you if you break down on Texas roads? This hotline was established to help motorists whose vehicles become disabled on state and federal roads. The hotline number (800-525-5555) is printed on the back of all Texas driver license and ID cards. It can be used for requesting non-emergency assistance on Texas roadways. For emergencies, always call 911.
