4th Hopkins County Resident Tests Positive for COVID-19

Hopkins County Judge Robert Newsom announced the 4th confirmed case of COVID-19 in Hopkins County on Saturday afternoon.

The individual is self-isolating at home at this time. No other details were released.

There were 76 COVID-19 tests sent from Hopkins County as of Thursday, April 2nd. At that time, 41 screenings had been confirmed negative and 32 were pending. Results from screenings are taking an average 10 business days to get a result from the Private Labs or TX-DSHS Labs.

Hopkins County Emergency Management officials continue to encourage residents to practice social distancing and proper hand washing to help slow the spread and process of this virus. They also recommend only sending one member of your household to run errands when possible.
