Hello Eclipse chasers!

It is almost time for the anticipated Great American Eclipse, April 8th. Visiting Sulphur Springs, Texas for the total solar eclipse? There are PLENTY of amusements in our community to make you feel at home. Here’s what’s happening to peak your “Celebrate the Centerline” weekend:

 

One Soul Yoga Studio will be hosting several eclipse inspired classes including:

  • Sun & Moon Flow, yoga workshop for kids, April 5
  • Rings of the eclipse Hula flow April 6
  • Ring of fire sound bath, April 7
  • Outdoor Eclipse Flow and viewing session April 8th

Community Players INC delivers a deviously devouring good time of song, dance, and Audry 2 in Little Shop of Horrors ONLY at Main Street Theatre. You can catch this show of botanical world domination  April 5 and 6 at 7pm or a 2 O’clock matinee on Sunday, April 7.

Speaking of plants, and those that don’t eat us, Sulphur Springs Church of the Nazarene is holding its annual Plant Sale on April 4-6 during daylight hours.

 

Crafters and community artisans of the fancy and fantastic assemble at the Venue at 219 for an elegant and festive shopping experience for Total Eclipse Market, April 6- 8, 9:30-6:30pm.

 

The Mayor of Sulphur Springs would love to take you on a historical walk around our community. Join History by Foot, 10am, April 6th at Celebration Plaza. Tickets are $15 in advance, or $18 at the event. Tickets are limited. Please visit History by John Facebook page for more information.

 

 

Saturday, April 6th, come hang out downtown for dining, shopping, and The Total Eclipse Concert series, live at Celebration Plaza, featuring a lineup of outstanding local music talent. Bring chairs, blankets, family, and friends. Show is free, starts at 1pm, & plays all day! 

 


You are invited to bring your lawn chairs and families to Celebration Plaza, and join First Baptist Church for an evening of worship and message April 7th, beginning at 6pm.

 

Cravers Community Garden wants to hang out with you for a whimsical eclipse watch party, April 8th beginning at 10am.

Our municipal Airport will be hosting a pilot fly-in watch party, April 8th.

Split Decision and Sherry’s Shack adds live music and fab lunch specials for their pasture Eclipse Watch party, beginning 11am. Don’t forget your chairs!

 

Deep Routes Coffee hosts a caffeinated watch party Eclipse Day, April 8 from 8am-3pm

 

Heritage Park and Museum will be open all weekend to all, and will celebrate on the centerline with a watch party, on April 8 with concessions. And again. Don’t forget your lawn chairs. 

 

Make sure you pick up eclipse glasses and commemorative eclipse swag at any of our amazing local businesses and don’t forget to check out Total Eclipse Sulphur Springs TX website for parking, and events information. 

 

And if you weren’t counting… I just said,  Eclipse 14 Times…

So everyone, come hungry, come excited, come hang out with us! And for the Love, don’t forget your lawn chairs! The clock is ticking down and down to a spectacular future historical moment and we can’t wait to experience it with You, here in Celebration City!
