Funeral Service for Shirley Brown, age 74, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home, Sulphur Springs, TX with Quentin Long officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. before the service. Burial will be at Peerless Cemetery, Peerless, TX. Serving as pallbearers will be Morris Ray Wilks, Mikel Owens, Matthew Chenault, Charles Ball, Brock McDowra, and Buddy Brown. Shirley passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 in Sulphur Springs, TX.

Shirley Ann Brown was born to Johnny Owens and Flora (Titsworth) Owens on November 17, 1949 in Sulphur Springs, TX. Shirley married the love of her life Tommy Brown on March 11, 1967 in Sulphur Springs. They were married 56 years until his passing in 2023. Shirley worked at H.D. Lee as a Seamstress for many years. She also worked at Carriage House Manor and Sunny Springs Nursing Home. But most of all she was a loving Mother to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Charles Brown and wife Tanya; daughter, Tammy Long and husband Stewart; grandchildren, Quentin Long and wife Jessica, Cassie Chenault and husband Matthew; great-grandchildren, Isabella Chenault, Ambriana Long, Christian Long; and brother, Glenn Owens.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Flora Owens; husband, Tommy Brown; sister, Ruth Stewart; and brothers, Billy Owens and Raymond Owens.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
