Every year, the Dallas Arboretum showcases beautiful displays of gardens, fountains, and more! But, when the cold months roll around, the Arboretum transforms into what Fodor’s Travel says is, “One of America’s best pumpkin festivals.” It features over 100,000 beautiful pumpkins, gourds, and squash in all shapes and sizes along with thousands of fall-blooming flowers throughout the garden.

This year’s theme is “It’s a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” which will showcase the return of the Peanuts Gang accompanied by themed pumpkin houses to make up the iconic “Pumpkin Village” and maze for families, friends, and young visitors to enjoy.

The Pumpkin Village is full of all things pumpkin from start to finish, lining every walkway, and filling every space from sidewalk to sidewalk with pumpkins and incredible houses that are made completely out of pumpkins. The display is the perfect fall outing for family and friends to enjoy the autumn months.

The arboretum also puts on a multitude of events during this time, including everything from cooking classes with a fall twist, Tiny Tot Tuesdays, Oktoberfest, fall vendor markets, and Halloweekend for trick or treating, a petting zoo and live music for the holiday.

Autumn at the Arboretum opened September 16, 2023, and will run through November 5, 2023. Tickets range from twelve to twenty dollars. This ongoing tradition is only around for a short time but is a great option for some fall fun.
