Como-Pickton CISD celebrates district awards 2023
Como-Pickton Consolidated ISD held their yearly district awards. The following awards were given:
- 2023 Elementary Teacher of the Year – Saundea Monk; presented by Principal Jim Shaw
- 2023 Junior High Teacher of the Year – Courtney Anglin; presented by JH Principal Buck Haynes
- 2023 Secondary Teacher of the Year – Rachel Claxton; presented by Principal Kelly Baird
The Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year move to regional competition at Region 8 later this summer.
Other awards included:
- Meg Garret was awarded the Eagle Award of Excellence presented by assistant superintendent Lydia Walden
- Alice Bower was awarded the Eagle Support Staff of the Year presented by Principal Kelly Baird
- Craig Ingram was awarded the Eagle Newcomer of the Year presented by JH Principal Buck Haynes
- Jason Blanchard was awarded the Eagle Auxiliary Employee of the Yearpresented by Principal Jim Shaw
