Wildcats 8th grade B team falls at home

Sulphur Springs kicked off the night against Mount Pleasant to start the game. Mt. Pleasant returned the ball and kept pushing the lines, drive-after-drive. A run in by Mt. Pleasant for the first touch down of the night, the two-point conversion was good, 8-0.

Second play of the game for Sulphur Springs the quarterback gets sacked by Mount Pleasant, taking the game to third down. Bad snap in the fourth down, caused the quarterback to lose the ball, the result is a turnover to Mt. Pleasant on their 10-yard line. Mt. Pleasant crosses the plane to score again, the two-point conversion, was successful 16-0.

Hand off to Freddie Williams (87) he carried the ball back to the line of scrimmage. Maddox received the ball in the air and makes a short run. Brandon Salinas (46) punts the ball away to end the Sulphur Springs drive. Mt Pleasant has the ball again and drives it into the end zone 22-0.

Mt. Pleasant keeps running the ball down the field for completed first downs. Pass in the air for Mt. Pleasant for a completed touchdown. Stopped at the line no two-point conversion 28-0.

Sulphur Springs lost the ball on the kick off and Mt. Pleasant recovered for a touchdown. The two-point conversion was good 36-0 at the end of the first half.

The second half of the game sees Sulphur Springs stepping up their defensive skills.  Elijah Mims (55) sacked the quarterback Mt. Pleasant 3rd down. Turnover on downs Sulphur Springs received the ball. Sulphur Springs punts for the fourth down, the ball finishes on their 10-yard line.

Maddox (23) stops the drive early.  No more points are put up on the board by either team, these young Wildcats are continuing to grow each game.

Next week the Middle School Cats will be in Texarkana to face Texas Middle school.
