The Sulphur Springs Wildcats basketball team opened their annual summer camp Monday and saw a great turnout. Coach Brandon Shaver revealed they had over twice as many participants as they had a year ago, with a large number of kids from each age group showing up on day one.

The camp offers a number of different drills and games for each age group and skill level. After spending all summer attending and coaching at other camps, Coach Shaver has taken what he’s learned at other camps and found a way to put his own signature on it and make it his own.

Campers not only get to learn from and be coached by current members of the Sulphur Springs Wildcats basketball team, but also get their picture taken with their favorite player. The camp continues through Tuesday and Wednesday.
