Funeral service for R.C. George, age 87 of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 10:00A.M. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Larry Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Arbala Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. George passed away on May 6, 2022 at Christus Mother Frances – Sulphur Springs.
Robert Clyde George was born on November 19, 1937 in Lebanon, Indiana to Harmon and Mabel (Hazlerigg) George. R.C. married Maxine English on June 16, 1978 in Sulphur Springs, she preceded him in death on May 23, 2019. R.C. was a plumber by trade, but his passion was horses. He owned, trained and raced many a champion, he was also an AQHA Judge. R.C. was a member of First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs.
He is survived by his sons, Tim George of Sulphur Springs, Rob George of Indiana; daughter, Pam George of Indiana; stepchildren, Sharon Alexander (Wayde), Mike Smith ( Lynn): eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
R.C. was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brothers, Bud and Johny George.
