John Simmons of Como, Texas is running for the United States House of Representatives for the 4th district of Texas. Simmons secured the Libertarian party’s nomination last month at their convention. The mid-term general elections will take place on November 8th, 2022.

Simmons, a native Texan, is a full time rancher living in Hopkins County. He has been married to Melissa Simmons for 13 years and they have three home-educated children: Molly (10), Hank (8), and Luke (6).

Simmons’ campaign is focused on anti-corruption, balancing the budgets, and term limits.

“Now more than ever, it is important for competent and principled citizens to stand up, hold elected office, and represent their constituents,” says Simmons. “The 4th district that I love and live in sorely needs honest representation. Thomas Jefferson said, “Evil triumphs when good men do nothing.” When people vote for me they can know that I will uphold the principles of individual liberty, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and common sense.”

The Simmons family is active in their church, Central Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs, and involved locally in the Meals on Wheels program.
