Senior center hosts successful life planning seminar

The Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Center marked a successful session discussing estate and insurance planning this week. 

The gathering began with a hamburger cook out compliments of Hopkins Place Assisted Living, Kindred at Home Health and Heart to Heart Hospice.

Ben King of Ross and Shoalmire, an Elder Care Attorney,  spoke about:

  • Estate Planning
  • Power Of Attorney
  • Medical Power of Attorney
  • Advance Directives
  • HIPPA
  • Wills and Trusts

King gave advice for those in attendance then opened up the floor to many questions from seniors in attendance.

Julia Wilhite, State Farm Insurance Agent spoke about:

  • Life Insurance
  • Annuities
  • Medicare.

She answered questions that everyone had about those subjects.

“If you missed it.. You missed a great event,” said senior center director Karon Weatherman. “Thank You to everyone who participated and those who sponsored and served our seniors.”
