Funeral services for Eddy Earl Morton, age 60, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Shannon Oaks Church with Bro. Jeff Harris and Bro. Gene Mattison officiating.  Interment will follow at Reilly Springs Cemetery with Bobby Beck, Morgan Anderson, Blake Turner, Jeff Vititow, Steve Bradley, Jeff Griggs, Paul Ray Vititow, Steve Crawford, Wendell Grimes, Sam Johnson, Mike Wood and Conner Brackhahn serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m., prior to service time at Shannon Oaks Church.

Eddy passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.  Eddy was born on December 21, 1961 in Sulphur Springs the son of Earnest Morton and Jenita Frazier Morton.  He married Kim Vititow on March 19, 1982 in Hugo, Oklahoma.  Eddy owned and operated Eddy Morton Trucking along with his wife Kim.  Eddy was a family man who loved to fish and golf with his family.  He was also very competitive and involved in team roping and was in the TCL Backwoods Cornhole League.

In addition to his wife Kim, Eddy is survived by his children, Mark Morton and wife Krystal, Mason Morton and wife Alissa, Mandi Mitchell and husband Andy and Magan Bradford and husband Jeremiah all of Sulphur Springs, sister, Diane McKinney and husband Joel of North Richland Hills, grandchildren, Gage Mitchell, Parris Pickett, Mabry Mitchell, Maverick Morton, Karoline Morton, Boone Bradford and Jed Bradford.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rickey Morton and step-father, Bennie Cegelski.
