The Way Bible Church to induct two new elders

The Way Bible Church to induct two new elders
  • PublishedDecember 30, 2021

The Way Bible Church (TWBC) is excited to announce the addition of Mel Dietz and Alan Screws as elders as  elders to service alongside current elders Derrick Dillion, John Redd, and Dr. Joel Tiemeyer.

As TWBC continues to grow, build, and do all that is before them, the addition of Dietz and Screws as elders on January 2, 2022 will add the spiritual guidance and talents to accomplish this task.

Mel and Vicki Dietz moved to the Sulphur Springs area in the past 10 years. Before landing in Hopkins County, they served at high level ministry positions at a large church in the DFW metroplex before retiring to Northeast Texas. Upon attending TWBC, Mel and Vicki have offered their wisdom, knowledge and counsel which has served as a great encouragement.

Having lived in different places, from Michigan to Florida, in their 49 years of marriage they have found a place to call home and find fulfillment. It’s such a joy to see them walk in the door every Sunday alongside their daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. TWBC is blessed to have them!

Alan and Kim Screws have been a prominent figure in the Hopkins County area and beyond for decades. Every year they open their property, their home, and their hearts to thousands at The North Pole of Texas. What some get to experience one time a year, they give to TWBC every time they walk in the door. From day one, they have both said, “Pastor, put us in a place where we can serve. That is what brings us the most joy.”

After watching their faithfulness to serve from the outside for years at The North Pole of Texas, I now see them pouring their hearts out week after week at TWBC. The excitement you see at their home is the same excitement they bring everywhere; it is contagious. Alan and Kim express the genuine qualities of Faith and Family. It’s a joy to see them and their children serving weekly and watching their grandkids grow in the Lord at TWBC.

Join us at The Way Bible Church this Sunday, January 2, 2022, for ONE Ordination Service at 10:45 AM. We can’t wait to start the new year with you!
