The seventh annual Main Street Christmas Market will take place this weekend on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no charge to enter the market. Festivities will be held on Main Street in Sulphur Springs and for the first time, the market extends onto Gilmer Street.

Marlene’s Sass and Class, Babe, Head2Toe Nutrition, Buff City Soaps and more Hopkins businesses have helped organize 50 local vendors with the help of the Downtown Business Alliance.

“We hope this market is here to help support local vendors during the holiday season,” said Sass and Class owner Marlene DeYong.  “We appreciate everyone shopping here.”

Business owners want citizens to enjoy the season and enjoy the day with both new and returning vendors.

“There are personalized and hand-crafted products that you don’t always have a chance to purchase elsewhere,” DeYong said.

Main Street Theater will have a booth to exhibit the group, and Sulphur Springs High School Blue Blazes will be providing face painting.

Items available for purchase include, but are not limited to:

  • Soaps and bath products
  • Clothing
  • Hair bows
  • T-shirts
  • Jewelry
  • Candles
  • Christmas ornaments and décor
  • Floral arrangements
  • Native American jewelry
  • Hand-painted signs
  • Cosmetics
  • Decorative mugs
  • Baked goods
  • Hot cocoa bombs
