Funeral service for Tracy Wayne Coker, age 79, of Pickton, TX will be held 11:00A.M. on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Rev Mike Haun officiating. Interment will follow at Arbala Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel from 6:00-8:00P.M. Mr. Coker passed away on June 12, 2021 in Sulphur Springs, TX.

Tracy was born on February 1, 1942 in Arbala, TX to T.G. Gaylon and Juanita (Gammill) Coker. He married Brenda Mowat, who he loved dearly and thought the world of, on June 23, 2012 in Rockwall, TX.  He received a bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University. Tracy worked as a Petroleum Land Man, businessman and in the oil and gas field for many years.  Tracy also was an English teacher for Yantis, built many homes and business in Sulphur Springs and sold insurance. He volunteered with Brenda on Meal-a-Day and was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Tracy’s biggest passion of all, was raising his boys. In his spare time, he distributed bibles to the Gideon. He dedicated his life to ministry, no matter where his life took him.

He is survived by his beloved boys, Kerry and Jerry Coker; sister, Yvonne Spencer; grandchildren, Nathan Coker Justin Coker, Ashely Coker and Mathew Coker.

Tracy was also survived by his stepdaughter, Heather Fite and husband, Shane; stepson Dave Mowat and wife, Cindy; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gaynell Wood.

Donations may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church and Meal-a-Day at Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Center at 150 Martin Luther King Blvd Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
