Surface high pressure will continue to shift east across the area, bringing south winds 5 to 10 mph back to the area later in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies. This will help high temperatures warm to between 35 to 45 degrees west of I-35, while remaining in the lower-mid 30s further East. This will continue to help melt snow and ice across the region, but icy spots continue much of the day as the melt will be slow. Watch out for black ice, which is ice you can’t see before you drive upon it. Slow down and drive safe, but stay home if you don’t absolutely have to be on the roads today, but especially this morning.
