Man Arrested for Burglary by Hopkins County Deputies After Homeowner Spots Man Shining Light Through Windows on Security Camera

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for burglary on Thursday night after a homeowner spotted the man shining a light through her windows on her security camera.

HCSO Deputies received a call of a burglary of a habitation in progress on CR 3364 on Thursday night. The homeowner called and said he had a live feed from security cameras and could see someone shining a light through the windows.
Deputies arrived at the house and started checking the area. They located Clinton Scott Williams fleeing on foot from a back window.
After a brief foot pursuit he was taken into custody. He was also found to be in possession of 1.5 grams of meth which was located in his pocket at the time of arrest.
