Funeral service for Florence Danielson, age 77, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at North Hopkins Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.  Mrs. Danielson passed away on July 21, 2020 at her residence.

Florence Danielson was born in Sunray, TX on Nov. 28, 1942 to Sam Brown and Bessie Sliger. She married Larry Danielson, Sr. on June 16, 1976 in Rockwall, TX. She worked at Decker Meats and also at Wal-Mart in the toy department. She was a member of Shannon Oaks Church.   Florence had many hobbies. She loved to go fishing.  She was an avid reader with a large collection of books.  She also loved to sew and cross stitch.  She made her family clothes, costumes, and blankets.  Florence also loved to take home videos, especially at family gatherings.  She captured hours of precious memories with her video camera.  Several years ago, she started collecting ceramic bunnies.  Her collection has multiplied over the years and now whenever her family sees a ceramic bunny they fondly think of her.   The Lord gifted Florence with the ability to selflessly care for others.  Throughout her life she was caregiver to both her parents, two sisters, her brother and her husband. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was the most important thing to her. Her sisters described her as their rock, their person to talk to, and their safe space. She was the glue that held the family together. She will be greatly missed, but left a legacy started by her parents, to love one another and be there for each.

Florence is survived by her children, Rebecca Jean Dickey and husband Sam Dickey of Reilly Springs, son, Larry Dean Danielson and wife Ali from Sulphur Springs, Glenn Army and wife, Annette, Vickie Boyd and husband, Ronald, Barbara West and husband, Scott, Kevin Danielson and wife, DeAnn, and Keith Danielson; grandchildren Mark Dickey and wife Meri from Sulphur Springs, Sonya Mathews and husband Nathan Mathews of Sulphur Springs, Talon Patrick and Brynlee Danielson of Sulphur Springs;  great grandchildren Riley and Addie Mathews; sisters, Gwendolyn Wylie of Fredrick, Oklahoma, Sanetta Hardt of Grandbury, Texas, Genevea Smith of Sulphur Springs, Glenna McGee of Sulphur Springs, Sammie Black of Lake Fork, Texas, and honorary sister Daisie White of Sulphur Springs;  numerous nieces, nephews, and many loyal friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Marvin Danielson; her parents, Sam and Bessie Brown; brothers, Lawerence Dean Brown and Tommy Wayne Brown; sisters, LaWanna Fay Ferris, Donna Kay White, and Juanita Ann Brown.
