A local man was careflighted from the scene of an accident on Highway 19 N yesterday afternoon.

The accident took place south of FM 1536 on Highway 19 N. The driver hit a dog and lost control causing him to crash into the tree.

The man sustained a broken femur and was careflighted for medical treatment.
