Funeral service for Ibra Mills, age 80, of Saltillo, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Weaver Baptist Church with Tom Friday officiating. Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery with Matt Matlock, Payton Matlock, Hunter Mills, Devin Pullen, Shane Mills and Richard Roberts serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Weaver Baptist Church. Mr. Mills passed away February 23, 2020 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, TX.
Ibra Mills was born on November 18, 1939 in Cumby, TX to Ibra Martin Mills and Opel (Hinkle) Mills. He worked as an antenna man for over 50 years in Hopkins County area. Ibra was also a member of Weaver Baptist Church.
Mr. Mills is survived by children, Teresa Minick and husband, Joe Minick, Tammy Matlock and husband, Matt Matlock, and son David Mills; grandchildren, Juanita Minick, Samantha Minick, Betty Mills, Payton Matlock, Shelby Matlock, Kirby Mills, Micky Vaughn, and Hunter Mills; numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jackie Wayne Mills; sisters, Lola, Mary Allen (Eaten), Lou Nell, Hazel Jo, Wilma Lois and Helen; brothers, Earl Mills, Murl Mills, James Mills, Jackie Lee Mills, Jonny Mills, Clovis Mills, and Billy Mills; daughter in law, Margaret Mills; and grandson, Kenny Minick.
