Acts 28:4
When the native people saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer. Though he has escaped from the sea, [the goddess] Justice has not allowed him to live.”

In case you didn’t know it, when you profess to be a Christian, those around you take note. Whether it be discretely from a distance or more pronounced, they are watching and waiting to see how you respond to the difficulties that life brings your way. Many of them even know the former you, the you that you used to be before the Lord cam into your life. When something happens, they’re quick to say, “I told you so.” or, “You must have done something really bad to deserve that.” It’s in times like these that the new you, the changed you, must rise up. How you handle difficulties and trials speaks volumes to those who are on the outside looking in. Unfortunately, some may even claim to be fellow Christians, who rather than support and encourage you, are waiting to see if and how hard you’ll fall. Irregardless of what they say or don’t say, your strength and life doesn’t come from them. They are not the One who changed you in the first place and they aren’t whom you are to seek validation and approval from. The Lord knows what you’e going through and He has promised to be with you every step of the way. Trials and circumstances don’t reflect who you are, how you respond to them does. You’re strong, you’re brave, you’re empowered, and you’re equipped. He will sustain you and bring you through as a witness and testimony to His goodness and grace. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff

TWBC’s August Simple Saturday is right around the corner. We will be out in our communities being the hands and feet of Jesus. So make plans to be a part. Sign up at the GroupLife wall or find a member of our start team and they will assist you. You can also call the TWBC office for more information and get signed up over the phone. Let’s go out and show our neighbors the love of Christ.
