Memorial service for J.D. Daniels, age 79, of Yantis, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at County Line Baptist Church, Yantis with Pastor Rodney Crist officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Daniels passed away on February 13, 2018 in Quitman.
J.D. “Buzz” Daniels was born on June 12, 1938 in Cooper, Texas, the son of Joseph and Blanche Daniels. He was a math and science teacher at Yantis ISD, as well as a basketball ball coach. J.D. was a Mason and member of County Line Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, J.D. Daniels, Jr and wife, Meranda of Irving, TX, Phillip Newman of Yantis, TX, Melissa Dyer-Falls and husband, Tim of Pittsburg, TX, Veronica Jetton and husband, Jerry of Winnsboro, Tonya Faulkenberry and husband, Marshall of Howe, OK; grandchildren, Kattarina Daniels, J.D. Daniels III, Christine West, Zackary West, Brandon Dyer, Scott Dyer, Raylee Falls, Jason Jetton, Jeffrey Jetton, Latisha Barrett, Jennifer Didway, Kyle Newman, Ashlie White; great grandchildren, Gracee West, Katee James, Octavia O’Cealleigh, Jayden Dyer, Elza Dyer, Karson Jetton, Jillian Jetton, Isaac Jetton, Dillon Barrett, Dacey Barrett, Meredith Jetton, Kate Jetton, Saefrin White, Revri White.
J.D. was preceded in death by his parents, wife, nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
