Representative Dan Flynn today announced he is running for re-election in HD-2.
“I have represented the conservative values of my district consistently and to the best of my ability, and it would be my honor to serve HD-2 for another term,” said Flynn. “Our district is looking for solutions, not soundbites; results, not rhetoric. I have gotten results.”
As chair of the House Pensions Committee, Flynn passed monumental legislation to stabilize teacher retirement health care, the Employee Retirement System, and pension systems for both Dallas and Houston.
Flynn also authored legislation to require the use of American law on American soil. He is a consistent, conservative voice on tax and spending issues, and a strong advocate for protecting life.
“I led the fight to save the pensions of teachers, firefighters, police officers and government workers,” said Flynn. “I have a record of fiscal conservatism, protecting tax dollars frugally while ensuring government keeps its promises to pensioners, taxpayers and future generations.
“I have always voted to protect unborn life, because a society is only as strong as what it does to protect the least among us. And I have worked to keep the scourge of human trafficking and illegal drugs out of our communities.”
